Add MAXIMUM(), MINIMUM(), and ROUNDUP() to misc.h, then
use those definitions rather than pulling <sys/param.h> and unknown namespace

Disables and removes dependency on OpenSSL. Many features don't
work and the set of crypto options is greatly restricted. This
